Your reading knowledge in a language is aided both by 'slugging through' things that are above your reading level (like reading through 'The Beyer,' though I don't know what that is.), as well as quickly reading through things that are below your reading level. ![]() I'm sure there are some guys that had the same difficulties as me one day. I'm good a flashcards, power learning methods, vocabulary, I need something like this otherwise it won't work. I have no future as a musician, especially an organist if I can't read well sheet music. Like rigth now I can even play the melodies for children that are near the organ. I've tried everything, a week ago I played the whole beyer from sigth, it sucked and was a good lesson on humility.īEGINNING PIANO LITERATURE. Now I try my best to only play with sheets and not my memory, but still, my brain doesn't really read. Not reading notes as notes but as intervals, having a good memory and comprehension of harmony that makes my brain avoid reading it. ![]() The factors migth be: I play more by ear even if i'm looking at the sheets, making me guess rather than reading. Yet I can read thousands of chinese characterss. I don't know for what reason, despite 12 years of using them intensively, I still can't read. ![]()
